Room 9 Hilltop School Taupo

We are trialling the Lexia literacy programme this term- here we are
concentrating in the Computer Suite.

Kelso's Choice

Before school we made this amazing
building together.

A huge thank you to Room 9 for taking
responsibility for collecting the school's
paper bins. We were given 30 plants from
the Native Plant Centre for our efforts-
thanks very much to the Taupo District
Council for sponsoring the trees.
Now we can decide where to plant them.

Jamie shared a news story about
tyres dumped in Taupo-we googled
and found this amazing shed.

Jarvis's Mum, Briar, made each one of us a
Kelso cupcake and not only did they look
amazing but they were 'froglicious' too!

This is one amazing machine
- we are looking forward to
seeing more!

The sun streams into the aisles of books and
we were surprised at how much room there is
to sit and read. The little alcoves are great for
being independent or sharing books.
MAYBE this temporary library is our favourite??

Room 9 answered 27, 000 maths questions in this last week
and came 2nd in the Waikato Sumdog Competition. 36 schools
entered the competition from both Primary and Intermediate
schools.We were the daily winner for 4 days, getting beaten
on the final day!
Luca was placed 3rd- well done!

We are proud of our Kapa Haka group

We saved this little sparrow after it had hit a window and stunned
itself...it flew off with a smile! A tui crash landed onto our steps
last week and after we had kept it in a dark box for an hour,
it recovered and flew off with an even bigger smile.
