Opepe
Team Three's Opepe trip By Matthew.
Team three set off for an adventure to Opepe and Rooms 12, 11, 15 went across the road first, so Rooms 10 and 9 went another way. Off we went, everyone was excited! As time went by people got tired. Some people were still on their feet. I actually liked it.One reason was because my Dad was right by my side. The Napier/ Taupo highway is fast and busy, there was lots of trucks. When we reached the grave sites we had morning tea, it was very interesting.I loved the graves, there was one hidden grave in the bush- it was exciting!
At the log pit we had lunch, it got informative.

A week in Room 9
Here are some of our activities over the last week- we have also emptied 54 Enviro bins for the school; set up 3 old computers to use in our classroom ( donated by Mrs Derbie's class); started a week long Waikato maths Sumdog competition (we are coming second at this stage!) Remember your togs and towel on Monday Room 9- we have two weeks of swimming lessons starting! |
We have shared our speeches all week and the semi finalists will be judged on Monday. These are two of our boys with a beautiful amethyst crystal that was brought to school to share with the class. |
The cross country race was on Wednesday. Room 9 trained hard and should be so proud of their incredible success- Huge congratulations to all of our runners! |
Calendars are underway- everyone posed and now the planning of the background can begin. |
