Self portraits for the school hall

| First of all we had photographs taken of our heads. |

| Then we cut the photographs into thirds and glued the middle part onto A4 paper. |
 |
| Next we hand drew our forehead and our chin and shoulders. |
 |
| Finally we dyed the background in a variety of colours. |

| We completed metaphor poems for Raumati Beach School and they sent us theirs. When the pieces were put together they made this cool poster. |

Mr Gibson's visit
 Mr Gibson came to school to share some treasures from Liberia- where he is working at a power station. We loved the African perfume and aftershave we all got to wear and in this photo we are sharing paintings, necklaces and bracelets and Liberian money. |

Wacky Hair Day

| In this photo we are holding the guava moth trap that we are putting into a feijoa tree at school. We have to check it each week for three weeks to see if we have caught any moths. Then we send the results to the Plant and Food Research Centre in Auckland. |

| Treemendous news! We have been given this voucher for our 2016 recycling efforts. This will pay for native plants that we want to put in our redesigned garden area by the fruit bank. |
